VIDEO JOURNALISM
3 Days
Increasingly journalists are being asked to shoot professional video footage to accompany reports - often working alone.
Day one teaches the basics of planning a production and shooting content, based on producing talking head interviews, news stories and promos. It covers using video camera technology, framing shots, recording good sound and using basic lighting / using existing available light. There is also advice on interview techniques and formulating good questions.
Day two is a hands on day shooting content.
Day three is focused on editing the footage shot on day two.
The course includes a introduction to either Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro with the emphasis on ingesting and editing footage and preparing video for broadcast or for the web.
