2 Day introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro CC

This two-day hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and interface of Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Using FCP X editing terminology and references as stepping stones, this course translates the students’ existing editing talents to the Adobe Premiere Pro skill set. In this course students will learn Adobe Premiere Pro editing operations: ingest, project set up, Asset management, sequence settings, video and sound editing tools, as well as Premiere Pro’s extensive effects package, real time color correcting and numerous tips and keyboard shortcuts for everything in between.


Final Cut Pro Screen

This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video using Adobe Premiere Pro. with existing knowledge of Final Cut Pro X. The course is designed for those who prefer hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore the full functionality of Adobe Premiere Pro.

This course covers the requirements necessary to become an Adobe ACA.

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course: woking knowledge of Final Cut Pro X

    • Using workspaces in Adobe Premiere

    • Supplementary panels (Effects Controls, Audio, Metadata, Media Browser, Effects and History panels)
    • The Tools Panel and the audio meters

    Importing and organising your footage

    • Importing single and multiple files and folders • Using bins and renaming clips
    • Adding metadata to clips
    • Using the Media Browser

    • Creating subclips

    Basic Editing Skills

    • Creating a new sequence using your clips settings • Previewing your clips in the Source Panel
    • Playback and marking shortcuts
    • Three point and drag-and-drop editing

    • Understanding an insert and overwrite edit • Viewing a waveform and editing audio
    • Working with different image formats

    Editing in the Timeline

    • Rearranging clips in the timeline
    • Copying and pasting clips
    • Understanding tracks and using track select • Ripple and roll edits
